I didn’t buy a $100k highway billboard. I went DIY.
He found a high-traffic intersection and made a deal with the landowner to place a bench there. Cost him about $70 to build.
He stuck a “Your Ad Here” sign on it with his phone number.
A local tree service company found the listing. They now pay me $700/year to have their logo on that bench.

I pay the landowner $200/year for the “rent.” I net $500/year in profit for doing literally nothing once the deal was signed.

Worth checking local regulations before you start, but the barrier to entry here is about as low as it gets: $70 and a conversation with a landowner 😎
