Hannah Gustafson started by selling homemade jam from a table in her front yard.

The jam stand grew into a monthly neighborhood market – 33 vendors, live music, face painting.

But people kept commenting online: “I wish this was near me.”

So she launched The Tiny Post, an $11/month snail mail club. First month: 50 subscribers.

📝 From a recent interview, Hannah describes what happened next…

August was 50. Second month: 107. Third month: 1,200. Fourth month: 2,500.

Month three, a TikTok video she’d filmed of herself telling her husband about the idea hit 1.1 million views 👀

Six months in, she’s at 4,100 members – and prepping for 4,500.

Each 1 oz envelope (one stamp) contains…

A postcard – an art print on one side, recipe card on the other. Two or three stickers. A surprise paper goodie. Handmade tarot cards from a friend. And my letter, usually pretty personal.

🤑 At $11/month per member with about $3 in hard costs per envelope, that’s roughly 70% gross margins.

Revenue: ~$50K/month. Profit: ~$30K/month. Zero paid advertising.

All sorts of niches could work here – art, poetry, local community, fitness, parenting 🤔
